Marcus Rashford is one of the most recognisable English footballers of his generation, with more than a decade of experience at the highest level of the game. Born in Manchester, he joined the Manchester United Academy at the age of seven before making an unforgettable first-team debut in February 2016, scoring twice against Midtjylland in the UEFA Europa League. Just three days later, aged 18, he scored another two goals on his Premier League debut against Arsenal.
Rashford went on to make more than 400 appearances and score more than 130 goals for Manchester United, establishing himself as a major figure at his boyhood club. His honours with United include two FA Cups, two League Cups and the UEFA Europa League. The 2022/23 campaign remains one of his standout individual seasons, with 30 goals across all competitions earning him both the Sir Matt Busby Player of the Year and Manchester United Players' Player of the Year awards.
After spending the second half of the 2024/25 season on loan at Aston Villa, Rashford took his career overseas for the first time, joining FC Barcelona for the 2025/26 campaign. The move proved a major success. He recorded 14 goals during the season and played his part as Barcelona won both La Liga and the Spanish Super Cup. Fittingly, Rashford scored against Real Madrid in the victory that confirmed Barcelona as Spanish champions, securing the first league title of his senior career.
At international level, Rashford scored on his England debut against Australia in May 2016 and has since represented his country at three FIFA World Cups and multiple European Championships. His performances for Barcelona earned him a return to the England squad for the 2026 World Cup, where he scored in the opening victory over Croatia.
